Besides using technology to explore assets of the world I also completed project in other classes including history, writing, science, and math. One example of this includes my annotated bibliography, that I completed in my writing class. I had to research a time in history that a major event occurred and create an organized paragraph about those facts and what occurred during that time in history.

This source summarizes how the Armenian Genocide began, certain actions the government took to diminish the Armenian population by capturing, discriminating, and deporting the Armenian people. Not only were Armenians discriminated against, but they were also tortured. In the background section of the article it talks about how the Armenians were discriminated against because many individuals in the government felt that the loyalty of the Armenian population strayed too far off from the Ottoman empire. According to the “Armenian Genocide Begins”, “The success of Armenians in business, as merchants, and as middlemen between Europeans and the Ottoman world created a further level of distrust.” The quote proves that also due to the success of the Armenians in business, merchants, and trade this exacerbated the situation. In the event section it talks about how many Armenians were torchered due to their success and loyalty. This database gives specific detail about the the background of Armenian Genocide, the events that occurred, and how this event in history had a global impact which was very helpful to expand the readers’ knowledge about the topic. This source is very reliable because the author of this writing, Jennifer Stock, has written many articles before about this topic and has also studied in depth about this certain period in time. This article would be great for high schoolers who are interested in the topic or are looking for a good research article about the Armenian Genocide.
